This is part of the ongoing commitment of the two largest telecommunication groups in Latin America to improve global communications.

This will be the first subsea cable since 2001 to connect Puerto San José in Guatemala with Valparaíso, Chile. The system will also have additional landing points in Salinas (Ecuador), Lurín (Peru) and Arica (Chile).
The cable will have an initial estimated capacity of 108Tbps offering the lowest latency between Guatemala and Chile. As a result, the 7,300km system will serve the entire Pacific coast of South America with the highest levels of service, reliability and security.

Additionally, the cable has been designed to achieve significant efficiencies due to infrastructure sharing and the five landing stations are already in place and undersea prospection works are currently underway.
