HGC Global Communications Limited (HGC) has launched a new point-of-presence (PoP) in Ireland and new offices in Dubai and Prague.

The new PoP established in Ireland complements HGC’s deep European coverage, adding to existing PoPs in important carrier neutral locations such as London, Frankfurt, Dubai and Marseille.

HGC will be able to further provide network services such as IPLC, GEPL, VPLS, MPLS and internet service for international carriers, OTT service providers and enterprise customers in the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region.

In addition, the new offices in Dubai and Prague also feed into the global expansion roadmap.

The new Dubai office will help expand international connectivity between Dubai and adjacent countries, leveraging Dubai’s role as a transit point to East Africa to build closer relationships with carrier and corporate customers.

While the new office in Prague will provide consultancy services, backend operation and technical support for its data, voice and messaging business, and meet the increasing demand for next-generation communication and ICT solutions.

Cliff Tam, HGC’s vice president of global data strategy for international business, commented: “We believe that the continued expansion through new PoPs and offices is a huge long-term boost for our international business. HGC established an office in London in 2010 to operate sales and business development for EMEA, followed by the deployment of PoPs in London, Frankfurt, Dubai, Marseille and Ireland to support the increasing customer demand for data, voice and customised solutions.

"Through our know-how, experience and global expansion, HGC can establish closer ties with our partners worldwide and be better positioned to provide one-stop international ICT solutions to customers in fast growing markets. HGC will continue to satisfy global requirements for quality, value and reliability and to expand its footprint across continents.”

These new sites are part of HGC's larger expansion plans as the company kicked off the year with a new PoP in Marseille.

HGC is also focusing on innovation. It announced last month that it had launched HGC Application Program Interface Hub.

Andrew Kwok, CEO of HGC, spoke to Alan Burkitt-Gray about the company's developing business in an article earlier this year.
