Using Nokia’s fully virtualised Worldwide IoT Network Grid (WING) managed service, TIM and its enterprise can capture IoT opportunities faster and more securely.

Through the collaboration, TIM is able to leverage new business models to tap this opportunity and create additional revenue streams. In addition, incremental services, such as device management and analytics, will help TIM extend its SIM management capabilities to create value added opportunities.
WING features a distributed architecture that maintains all user data in-country, such as in Brazil, to remain compliant with data sovereignty and privacy laws.

Once the roll out is completed, TIM’s enterprise customers will be able to monitor and manage in real-time their devices, also as part of the deployment, the Nokia IMPACT IoT platform, which simplifies the process of bringing and scaling multiple applications onto a single platform, will provide IoT device management and service capability exposure.
Earlier this year, TIM Brazil announced that it is expanding its edge cloud network using Nokia AirFrame servers that feature 2nd-gen Intel Xeon Scalable processors to virtualise its data centres by 2021.
