In her new role, Asaad will be responsible for Cisco’s Middle East and Africa business, growing it to become a leading technology company in the region.
With over 20 years’ experience across the tech, finance and customer experience space, Asaad will work to strengthening collaborations with governments, customers and partners supported by Cisco’s portfolio of advanced solutions to accelerate their digital agenda.

Reem has a wealth of experience in business leadership and strong understanding of the digital transformation landscape,” said Wendy Mars, president of Cisco’s Europe, Middle East, Africa and Russia region. “I am confident of Reem’s ability to empower our workforce and help regional businesses address their challenges.”
Before joining Cisco, Asaad served as CEO of Raya Contact Center, a business process outsourcing service provider based in Cairo. During her time there, she was key to driving company growth and go-to-market strategy, digital transformation and regional market development.

Last year, Cisco in partnership with Superloop, completed two deployments of up to 400G in the INDIGO West Cable from Singapore to Australia and the INDIGO Central cable from Perth to Sydney.
Cisco’s NCS 1004 was deployed on 4,600km of the INDIGO cables, which features a two-fibre pair ‘open cable’ design with new spectrum sharing technology.
