Effective immediately, Shippey (pictured) will lead Frontier’s carrier and wholesale business that includes oversight for sales and marketing, innovation in new solutions and the delivering the best customer experience.
“The finance committee, with the support of the full board, recruited CEO Bernie Han, a first-rate operator, as part of a broader transformation and a commitment to upgrading talent across the organisation,” said Rob Schriesheim, chairman of the finance committee of Frontier’s Board of Directors. “We remain focused on strengthening Frontier’s management team, and the appointment of Mike Shippey is the next step in our efforts to ensure the successful execution of our strategy.”
Shippey will report to John Maduri, executive vice president and chief customer officer, and will be based at the company’s offices in Dallas. Prior to this appointment, Shippey served as president of wholesale services at Windstream Holdings.

Last November, Frontier Communications launched it Frontier Managed SD-WAN. The new offering is an end-to-end, software-defined wide area network (SD-WAN) solution that delivers WAN-wide visibility, agility, control and AWS Cloud integration.
Combined with the company’s existing SD-WAN Managed Private Network (SD-WAN EVPL), Frontier Managed SD-WAN simplifies network management operations, delivers enhanced service level agreements (SLAs) and creates an alternative for enterprise customers wanting to transition from MPLS networks.
