At the same time Telekom Slovenije in Slovenia has also joined Deutsche Telekom’s IoT Solution Optimizer ecosystem, which was launched last year.
Rami Avidan (pictured), senior vice president responsible for the IoT business at Deutsche Telekom, said: “The IoT Solution Optimizer helps enterprises to optimise the performance of their IoT applications, securing up to six months of additional battery life on average for planned IoT deployments. These additional months of operation can make or break a business case.”
Deutsche Telekom has already signed a number of IoT consultancies to join the scheme, including Axxessio and Orbit IT-Solutions in Germany and One:solutions Engineering in Austria.
Avidan, who joined Deutsche Telekom last year from Tele2, said: “We are excited to see the IoT Solution Optimizer growing with the addition of new partners and service features. It is extremely easy to use, provides clear guidance throughout the process as well as excellent choice for all necessary IoT solution elements.”
Björn Hansen, head of Telia IoT, explained: “The exclusive partnership with Deutsche Telekom in the Nordics and Baltics is really exciting for us and for our customers. The IoT Solution Optimizer strengthens our IoT offering and will help IoT reach its full potential, with faster time to market and in a cost-efficient way.”
Latvian operator Latvijas Mobilais Telefons (LMT), in which Telia is a major shareholder, has also joined the scheme. “Additional operators are scheduled to follow suit in the course of 2020,” said Deutsche Telekom.
Deutsche Telekom networks give IoT coverage in Austria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, the Netherlands, Poland, Slovakia, and – via T-Mobile US – the US. Telia brings networks in Sweden, Finland, Norway, Denmark, Estonia and Lithuania, with LMT adding Latvia, as well as Telekom Slovenije in Slovenia.
