He will join the company immediately, to work closely with CEO Ehsan Ahmadi and the board of Vox on activities including strategy, M&A, product innovation, finance and operations.
“Vox Carrier is an innovative and entrepreneurial business that has a unique vision for the voice and messaging markets,” said Nikrouyan (pictured), adding that he sees “a tremendous opportunity” for the company “to solve challenges around fraud, operational efficiency, and declining margins”.
According to his LinkedIn profile, Nikrouyan left BICS in November 2019 after 13 years, first as chief commercial officer and for his final year as VP of strategic partnerships. He earlier spent six years as the director of global traffic management and trading at BICS’s parent company, Belgacom – now Proximus.
In his new role, he will be “responsible for leading the company’s commercial operations and executing on its vision for securing, optimising and accelerating how mobile network operators and service providers monetise their voice and messaging businesses”, said Vox.
He said: “Companies in voice and messaging recognise that they need to take a new approach to their businesses in order to be successful in the long-term. Vox Carrier offers them a comprehensive set of solutions that support them on their monetisation journey. That’s extremely powerful in today’s market.”
Ahmadi added: “As our business continues to grow, we remain committed to our vision for a market where mobile network operators and service providers can simply and easily optimise, accelerate and secure their voice and messaging businesses. With Nicholas on our team, we are step closer to delivering on our vision.”
