Eight out of 10 businesses think 5G will be revolutionary
Most businesses believe 5G will be revolutionary despite growing concerns about its security.
According to a global study by Accenture, four in five respondents (79%) believe that 5G will have a significant impact on their organisation — including 57% who believe that it will be revolutionary.
In comparison, only one-quarter (24%) of respondents said they believed that 4G’s impact was revolutionary.
The survey spoke to more than 2,600 business and technology decision makers across 12 industry sectors in Europe, North America and Asia-Pacific.
FirstLight launches two cloud-based solutions

Accession Meeting and Cloud Contact Center are collaboration tools for modern enterprise organisations.
Accession Meeting is a cloud-based platform that feature video conferencing and presentation tools. It supports conferences with up to 100 participants and includes desktop sharing, conference recording, among other features.
Cloud Contact Center allows organisations to manage in-house contact centres, help desks, and other customer service operations more efficiently using a Software as-a-service platform.
BlueCat’s DNS solutions to be deployed on Ajinomoto's Hybrid Cloud Network
BlueCat, a provider of adaptive DNS solutions, confirms that its DNS service points are to be deployed into Ajinomoto's hybrid cloud network.
By coordinating with Microsoft DNS, SD-WAN and Web Proxies will enable DNS-based internet breakout that will optimise cloud application performance as well as reduce dependency on expensive Web Proxies and MPLS.
"To enhance the capability of smooth and seamless communication, we are aiming to build up a strong and stable global ICT platform with modern technologies such as cloud services and SD-WAN. We think BlueCat is one of the best tools to realise it," said Me Kaneda, corporate services division, information planning, infrastructure group at Ajinomoto.

Ribbon Communications has launched its EdgeMarc 300 series.
The new cloud-based offering businesses that currently have analog voice infrastructure a cost-effective, easy way to capitalize on IP-based voice services.

Deutsche Telekom launches NetMotion collaboration
Deutsche Telekom and NetMotion have entered into a strategic partnership to bring the company’s enterprise solutions to the carrier’s customers in Germany.
The launch of “Mobile Optimization Pro,” powered by NetMotion, further expands Deutsche Telekom’s offerings in the mobile enterprise space and gives customers connectivity solutions that improve the user experience.
