Initiated by the ITW Global Leaders’ Forum in 2018 CBAN is a project that aims to enable automated settlement practices for the ICT service provider industry.
“This is an exciting time at CBAN,” said Gregory. “The organisation has come from its beginnings as a Proof of Concept between two carriers and is now ready to ensure a set of standards are delivered that drive towards implementing market-leading inter-carrier settlement.
“Having led the GLF working group from the beginning, I am delighted to lead CBAN into the next stage of its evolution, as we seek to achieve value creation in the area of inter-operable settlement.“
In her new role, Gregory is tasked with driving adoption as well as organic growth of the CBAN network. Specifically, she will oversee key objectives including; strategic and technology roadmap development and implementation; member and commercial development, and organisational growth.
Formally chief of staff at Colt Technology Services, Gregory was responsible for driving the development and execution of strategy across the business, as well as leading the development and execution of the organisation’s inclusion and diversity strategy.
Prior to her time at Colt, Gregory served as chief of staff at Pacnet Global, and supported the development and execution of the data centre growth strategy across Asia, as well as M&A activity.
“In four short months CBAN has already taken major steps; including building a truly collaborative ecosystem of ICT service providers and technology developers and publishing the overarching governance framework and plans for the network,” said Marc Halbfinger, CEO of PCCW Global and chair of the GLF,
“Now is the time for CBAN to shift to the next level in delivering the real value of automated interoperability to the ICT community and we are particularly pleased that Louisa has agreed to take on this role to lead us forward.”
In January 2020, CBAN published a whitepaper outlining the role, structure and governance principles that will be used under the special purpose entity created to manage the platform.
