Juniper delivers managed SD-WAN platform for T-Systems

Juniper Networks has partnered T-Systems to create a managed SD-WAN infrastructure.

The new offering will form part of an end-to-end service overlay solution for companies with complex network and connectivity requirements.

"As a long-standing Juniper partner, T-Systems' choice to offer its new SD-WAN solution based on our technology deepens our relationship and also enables them to provide a host of secure services and capabilities to enterprises and simplify the deployment, operation and maintenance of the underlying network,” said Rami Rahim (pictured), chief executive officer, Juniper Networks.

“The combination of cloud services and software-defined networking creates a strategic opportunity for providers like T-Systems to differentiate themselves in the marketplace by addressing the infrastructural complexity that their customers face, and Juniper is there to help them achieve that goal."

T-Systems aims to use this new solution to offer a wide range of enterprises a service to deliver significant revenues to its business.

It aims to do this by providing its customers with greater visibility into the network, as a core business asset, helps them achieve their digital goals more easily.

Specifically, T-Systems has integrated the following Juniper products into its offering.

Its Contrail Service Orchestration, which is a scalable and multi-tenant software platform that automates branch connectivity management. Next is Juniper’s SRX Series Security Gateways, which is a range of SD-WAN customer premises devices that offer a suite of layered security services that enable advanced defence against known and unknown threats.

There is also Juniper’s NFX Series Network Services Platform, which offers a secure, standards-compliant CPE devices enabling T-Systems to easily create and deliver network services to its customers.

And lastly Juniper’s vSRX Virtual Firewalls, a virtualised form of its physical SRX Series firewalls that allows T-Systems to add cloud sites in an end-to-end multi-cloud SD-WAN service.
