International Telecoms Week (ITW) 2020, the annual meeting for the global wholesale telecommunications community that remains committed to #KeepingTheWorldConnected, announces its first-ever virtual event will take place from 15-18 June, 2020. The event welcomes industry leaders to network and speak on shifting trends amid global current events and discuss what is to come for networks, connectivity and more. Produced by Capacity Media, this event serves as a virtual and comprehensive platform for exchanging business ideas, sharing opportunities, expanding the reach of global networks and fostering collaborative relationships. ITW attracts executives from leading global organizations, including host sponsors AT&T, T-Mobile, PCCW Global and Telefonica.
As an entirely virtual event, ITW 2020 designed an experience to bring unique opportunities to companies, bridging the gap that currently exists in business as a result of social distancing protocols. The event is focused on bringing the entire global industry together for online collaboration, strategic networking, illuminating presentations and more. Among the roster of speakers are:
Vijai Karthigesu, Founder & CEO of Swarmio Media
Damien Dujacquier, Partner at Roland Berger Strategy Consultants
Oliver Jones, Co-Founder and Chief Executive at Chayora
Ravindran Mahalingam, SVP of International Business for HGC Global Communications
Rob van den Dam, the Global Industry Leader of Telecommunications, Media & Entertainment (TME) at the IBM Institute for Business Value
The agenda for the virtual ITW 2020 event features four days of presentations, trivia quizzes and discussions. The global meeting kicks off with a keynote address on 15 June at 3:00-3:30 BST. This will be followed by a discussion about COVID-19 and the future of connectivity, examining life following the pandemic and how it will impact the connectivity landscape of tomorrow. The event offers speaking sessions that discuss a range of topics, including Future: Applied, Connectivity Around the World and Keeping the Community Together. Speakers will investigate growth in sustainability, consolidating legacy and cutting-edge network architectures, building the need for 5G, digital security, women in technology and more.
“We are excited to offer this vital opportunity to the telecommunications sector in order to help them overcome any business disruption that this global pandemic has caused,” comments Ross Webster, ITW Event Director. “Discussion, collaboration and community have never been more important than they are now as communications and technology become a focal point in the effort to build a more enabled and secure future. This goal of bringing news, ideas and people together will be supported by the ITW Press Room, which will facilitate productive dialogue between the wholesale telecommunications sphere, the carrier community and the media. We look forward to being a catalyst for the many important networking and knowledge-sharing opportunities that are especially important across this ecosystem today.”
ITW also announces the availability of the ITW Press Room, offered in partnership with iMiller Public Relations, a globally recognized and award-winning public relations and marketing firm serving the telecom and technology industries. ITW welcomes global accredited media organizations and attendees to take part in opportunities to meet virtually with sponsors or trade organizations, amplify business messages and share breaking industry news during the event. Event participants are also invited to submit press releases and news to be considered for the ITW Show Daily — a fully digital magazine to be distributed daily throughout the conference.
