As a developer of infrastructure-ready, data centre campus sites, PointOne now has five properties in Virginia including three new sites including, Fredericksburg South Campus comprised of 160 acres, Caroline County North Park which has 710 acres, and Bull Run Technology Park which has 70+ acres.
The new locations join the existing 307-acre Marlo Technology Park situated just outside of Edmonton, Canada and offers 240MW of utility power. As well as the 234-acre Remington Technology Park hyperscale campus in Remington, VA which offers 300MW of utility power.
PointOne invests in site infrastructure readiness to reduce the time-to-market for cloud computing companies. The company says it is constantly increasing its portfolio of unique sites in critical locations and has more sites planned to come to market in the near future.
PointOne has also started construction on the NAP of Virginia Beach, a data centre and cable landing station campus in Virginia Beach which is expected to launch in 2021.
The NAP has a direct on-net connection to MAREA and BRUSA subsea cables and soon Dunant and will offer the lowest latency to these high capacity cables.
Additionally, the facility’s structural design and reliable power design, both of which add peace of mind for customers who require always-on connectivity.
The building is being constructed 15 feet above sea level and to withstand 200mph winds, protecting customers from any risks associated with a coastal location.
