Clearcable is to expand its hosted IPTV services with new feature and device options following a partnership with TVC/Minerva Networks.

Leveraging Minerva’s IPTV platform, the service has been designed to deliver a “next generation user experience”.

“The fact that nearly two-thirds of Canada’s population enjoys digital video services, almost twice as much as the worldwide average, represents a great opportunity for Clearcable as they address the evolving needs of regional operators” said Randy Osborne, SVP worldwide sales at Minerva Networks.

“Our team is committed to powering services that delight subscribers and we are excited to be working closely with Clearcable to further transform their video offerings and deliver unique entertainment experiences.”

Minerva deployed its first end-to-end IPTV system in the US in 2001. In 2019, it acquired the “sports social network” TOK.tv, which it credited with operating leading AI-based technologies. TOK.tv was integrated with the Minerva platform to allow watch together functions and smart recording.

“Now’s the time to build the services and value that will propel your TV business for the long haul”, said Paul Osmond (pictured), Clearcable director, content distribution.

“As a result of our current position of actively supporting advanced video delivery options for Canadian service providers, and our relationships with the premier transport, network and content providers, Clearcable further solidifies our position as the premier, white-label, end to end video service provider for small and mid-sized Canadian service providers,” Osmond continued.
