The company said it is part of its commitment to delivering a full range of IT services to clients in Southeast Asia.
PCCW Solutions established its footprint in Malaysia in September 2019 to provide IT outsourcing and managed services to support clients in Southeast Asia.
The new delivery centre is set to enable PCCW Solutions to leverage local technical and business capabilities while providing multi-country access to help clients accelerate digital transformation.
“We are delighted to expand our operations in Malaysia, providing world-class IT and data centre services as well as supporting our growing business in Southeast Asia,” said Ramez Younan, Managing Director of PCCW Solutions.
“These investments validate our commitment to supporting clients in their digital transformation journey.”
In addition, PCCW Solutions has completed the acquisition of MyTelehaus Sdn. Bhd. and its data centre in Cyberjaya, Malaysia.
Cyberjaya is located at the centre of the Multimedia Super Corridor (also known as MSC Malaysia), which is the Malaysian government-designated zone to accelerate the growth of the country’s digital economy.
The data centre facility has connections to extensive telecom, Internet and fibre service providers, enabling it to serve as a connectivity hub for local enterprises and global hyperscale providers.
PCCW Solutions is expanding across Southeast Asia with presence in Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines and Indonesia.
In August, PCCW Solutions unveiled its SLC data centre in Fo Tan, Hong Kong. The company revealed that it has secured client pre-commitments prior to construction completion.
The first stage of the new data centre has been fully occupied by global financial institutions, local enterprises and cloud providers, according to the company.
