During his time with the company, Goodall has held many senior leadership roles across NTT, including that of global CEO of Dimension Data, and the inaugural global CEO of NTT Ltd. Goodall will step down in the middle of next year to spend more time with his family and pursue "a portfolio career in the technology industry" as an investor, advisor and board member.
A statement from NTT praised Goodall's "unique energy and passion"
"He is a people-first leader and has built the new organisation based on purpose, performance and culture. Having successfully completed the first phase of our integration and managed the impact of Covid-19 this year, Jason is leaving an incredible legacy," it read.
Credited with overseeing NTT's major integration project in 2019, Goodall's appointment to CEO was confirmed in July 2019. At the end of the year, NTT announced that would begin construction of a new subsea cable, MIST, connecting Singapore, Myanmar and India, specifically Mumbai and Chennai.
Goodall will head NTT Ltd Global until 1 April 2021 before entering a handover period, working closely with his successor for three months, who NTT said will be named "in the coming weeks".
As for Goodall, post retirement he plans to continue in his role as a board director for NTT Ltd. and Dimension Data, and act as a strategic advisor for NTT's Venture Capital business.
