Confirmed by TIM on Friday, the appointment will see Santagata also act as advisor to the group CEO for the development and management of cybersecurity products and services.
Santagata will be supported by Telsy's CFO Sabrina Strippoli, COO Giacomo Toretta, and CTO and CIO Fabrizio Vacca.
Confirming the appointment, Telsy said in a statement: "Over the years the company has specialised in the implementation of cybersecurity systems, establishing itself as a point of reference for the national defence and security sector.
"Telsy’s offer covers various areas of information security. It produces solutions and technologies for both civil and military applications and is specialised in the planning and implementation of applications to protect information. It also offers technologies and activities for cybersecurity thanks to experience gained in the field."
According to its website, the company was previously headed by former police chief Alessandro Pansa, who joined TIM from law enforcement in 2019.
