In Sao Paulo ODATA has begun construction of a new site at its DC SP02 campus and will soon start a new expansion at its existing DC SP01 campus, with further plans to develop two additional campuses in 2021.
In Rio de Janeiro the company will build a new data centre, the first phase of which will be operational in 2023.
Over in Colombia, specifically Bogotá ODATA completed the second phase of its DC BG01 data centre in 2020. The new facility has an overall investment of $100 million. Plans are also being weighed up for another in-country campus.
In Querétaro, Mexico, ODATA made an initial investment of more than $100 million to build a new data centre campus, with a total of 52,350 m2 of land, 30,400 m2 built area with the possibility to reach up to 32MW of IT power. Construction began in January 2021 with the first phase predicted to be completed by the start of 2022.
Chile is top of ODATA’s list for new market entry with a wholesale data centre campus being developed.

In addition, ODATA will offer Brazil improved access to data hosting services thanks to investment by IFC, a member of the World Bank Group.
The $30 million loan will allow the company to accelerate its infrastructure buildout in support of a wide range of industries, such as cloud and expand its operations throughout Latin America and its three existing data centres in Brazil.

“With IFC's funding and support, we are expanding our operation to support enterprises with the capacity for highest quality and scalable infrastructure in the region."
