Effective yesterday, Deutsche Telekom Global Carrier said Nikrouyan (pictured) was an "exceptional candidate" who was "well versed in voice and mobility as well as advanced technologies and business transformation".
He succeeds Tamás Sándor who has been appointed VP of access and transport services.
Rolf Nafziger, SVP global business and global carrier, said: “We are thrilled to have Nicholas on our team. With his leadership and market expertise, he will bring a new outlook to our business objectives. At the same time, he has committed to continuing the Voice & Mobile success story while focusing on new and innovative business developments.”
Nikrouyan left BICs in November 2019 after more than 13 years with the firm; most recently in the positions of VP strategic partnerships and CCO. Since then, he has worked on a freelance basis as CCO and chief of staff for Vox Carrier and Technology Group, in addition to running his own consultancy.
This year, Nikrouyan is also on the judging panel for the Global Carrier Awards, taking place in October
