The business will join Acens, which Telefónica bought just two months ago, in the Telefónica Tech division.
Daniel Aldea (pictured), CEO of Altostratus, said: “Being part of Telefónica Tech completes a journey that began more than five years ago so that we could become the leader in Google Cloud services in Spain.”
Telefónica Tech did not give a price for the deal, as it didn’t for Acens, which the group bought 10 years ago and integrated into the technology unit two months ago.
The Altostratus Cloud Consulting deal enables Telefónica Tech “to incorporate highly qualified native professionals and strengthen its cloud expertise with hyperscalers”, said the group.
Altostratus specialises in multi-cloud services and is a Google Cloud premier partner for southern Europe.
Aldea said: “We consider it a natural step in our relationship with Telefónica after several years of working together with our customers in their digital transformation process.”
Altostratus said it is adding its expertise in consulting, implementation, migration and managed public cloud services to Telefónica Tech’s portfolio. The company, which provides services to more than 300 customers, from large corporations to SMEs, also offers solutions in big data and machine learning technology and proprietary solutions.
