Prior to joining DC BLOX, Dumler (pictured) served as the director of energy and engineering for Digital Realty, where he led both strategic and tactical initiatives, including operational energy efficiency and engineering effectiveness across a global portfolio of over 200 data centres.
With more than 20 years of experience in engineering, software development and innovation, Dumler has designed data centres as both a buyer and seller.
“His experience offers clients, tenants and internal stakeholders exceptional opportunities to drive energy efficiency in data centre deployments,” said DC BLOX.
He will report to Mark Masi, EVP of development, engineering and construction - together overseeing and managing the design and engineering of all DC BLOX data centre facilities.
Masi said: “John's strong background in mission critical data centre design, engineering and energy management are key to ensuring that our facilities have the reliability and efficiency expected by our most demanding customers.”
Dumler added: “I am a big believer in DC BLOX’s mission to deliver world-class data centres in growing under-served markets. It is also clear to me that the company is not just solving for today’s market needs, but is looking around the corner to ensure their facilities continue to meet evolving customer needs.”
DC BLOX’s US data centres are located in Atlanta, Birmingham, Huntsville, High Point and Chattanooga, and soon in Greenville.
