GlobalConnect, which has been part of EQT’s investment portfolio since 2017, owns 84,500km of fibre infrastructure and 27,000 sq m of data centre space in Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden, with some facilities in Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Hamburg and London.
Under EQT’s ownership there has been a merger of three brands – Broadnet and IP Only as well as GlobalConnect – and the establishment of a Nordic network, IT and operation organisation, said Bryder.
Bryder announced on Friday that his departure was “in connection with a reorganisation of our company and the split/decentralisation of some of my domains”.
He left TDC after 11 years in 2017, finishing as CTO. After that he joined TT-Netværket, Telia and Telenor’s jointly owned infrastructure company in Denmark, where he was CEO and CTO for a year and a half. He joined GlobalConnect in January 2019.
Bryder added: “Since I joined our company in connection with the first of the two major mergers, I have enjoyed working at GlobalConnect and put my heart and soul into the journey we started in 2018.”
He has not said where he is going after Global Connect. “I will be looking for my next work challenge soon,” he wrote on LinkedIn.
