Bokisha will transition into the role of COO from his previous position as group chief transformation officer and group chief procurement officer.
The company says he will continue to lead transformation, procurement and administration but will now also oversee business continuity and crisis management.
Bokisha has been at Etisalat for 23 years, having joined the company in 1998 and has filled several roles from network planning and optimisation to introducing new technologies and enhancing mobile network performance.
Bokisha also serves as a member of multiple boards of directors, governance teams and steering committees.
The company says he will be “instrumental in taking Etisalat Group to new heights and in helping the firm achieve its organisational goals as it continues to expand and grow”.
