Albers has taken responsibility for the wholesale division from 1 October, replacing Franz Bader who is retiring from the company at the beginning of 2022.

“I learned valuing A1 Telekom Austria as a reliable partner throughout my long carrier in the international wholesale industry. I am committed to broader develop up and coming Wholesale business solutions around 5G, mobile identity and many more," she added.
Most recently, Albers served as head of international business at AzerTelecom in Azerbaijan where she led the operator’s international business segment including voice and data worldwide.
Albers also drove anti-fraud development in the wholesale area and was involved in the execution of projects such as the international broadcast of F1 races and UEFA football games.
From 1999 to 2018, Albers worked for Deutsche Telekom – covering Bonn, Budapest, and the Balkan region – where she held numerous management positions.
Earlier this year, A1 Telekom Austria Group selected vendors for 5G rollouts in Eastern Europe.
The operator announced that it had chosen Nokia and Ericsson to support 5G deployment in Bulgaria, Croatia, Serbia, and Slovenia.
