IoT Global is a managed IoT connectivity service that allows users to control assets across multiple countries by leveraging global M2M SIMs capable of connecting to any cellular network. For global enterprises it means multinational companies don’t have to activate services with local operators.
Cementing the truly global coverage, IoT Global is built on virtualised and cloud-native mobile network infrastructure – present on all continents – and enabled by roaming agreements with more than 500 mobile operators around the world.
Sparkle is also boasting "extremely low latency" making IoT Global suitable for applications requiring real-time control.
The service is already available, but was launched for the first time at Expo 2020, in Dubai, on Tuesday. Sparkle said it expects to see the strongest take up in markets across Europe and Latin America, with a focus on Brazil.
Use cases span fleet management, connected vehicles and assurance, asset tracking and logistics and IoT Global features in the enterprise portfolio, alongside MPLS, Ethernet, managed SD-WAN, Cloud connect and Multicloud automation services.
The announcement from Sparkle comes during the final few weeks of Expo 2020, which concludes after a six-month run, on 31 March.
