ScopeSky is to deploy Nokia’s Nuage Networks Virtualized Network Services (VNS) Software-Defined Wide Area Network (SD-WAN) to enhance network automation, security and visibility to its enterprise customers.
ScopeSky said the deployment will also cut operational expenses and improve turn-up time. Further it will simplify operations by assisting in the transition of enterprise customers from existing legacy networks to an automated and optimized network.
Commenting on the deal – which was signed during GITEX Global 2021 – Mohamed Lattif, commercial director of ScopeSky, said: "We are excited to partner with Nokia’s Nuage Networks to unleash the power of the cloud for our business users by giving them the freedom and flexibility to connect sites, workgroups and applications faster, securely and more effectively. The SD-WAN solution will enable our users to react to change easily and respond to growth seamlessly.”
Nuage Networks’ VNS solution is based on an overlay model that uses any IP network to connect customer sites. Leveraging the solution, This will provide ScopeSky with maximum flexibility and support multiple access/last-mile technologies including copper, fiber or mobile broadband.

With WFH arrangements set to extend throughout 2021, SD-WAN has become the strategist’s solution of choice, putting mobility firmly in the spotlight.
A 2020 market analysis of the SD-WAN market by Nuage Networks and Futuriom anticipated the SD-WAN tools and software market would reach values of$4.6 billion by 2023.
Speaking to Capacity earlier this year, Nuage Networks' founder and CEO, Sunil Khandekar said: "We are starting to see SD-WAN as a technology more and more is right at the heart of the digital transformation that enterprises are undergoing. It has accelerated due to the pandemic, specifically due to branch at home or home working now it is touching all workers.”
