The LINX NoVA interconnection facility has named its first peering and interconnection partner, from its latest point of presence (PoP) at QTS Data Centers, Ashburn VA

QTS became the fourth data centre partner for the LINX NoVA network earlier this year and now Netskope has been named as the first network joining the LINX NoVA interconnection facility in Northern Virginia.

Raman Sud, Director, Internet Services of Netskope explained: “We are present at all the major Internet exchange points and are pleased to be present and peering at LINX NoVA. Joining LINX has given us more opportunities to interconnect with key networks as we deliver the best service we can for our end users.”

Jonathan Aufderheide, VP of interconnectivity and prering at QTS added: “QTS is pleased to support LINX’s expansion in the US and welcome Netskope as their first peering and interconnection partner in the QTS facility in Ashburn, VA. Digital transformation is driving renewed interest in network connectivity ecosystems as enterprises seek new connectivity options to support global content and digital service distribution.”

LINX NoVa is the US regional interconnection facility from the London Internet Exchange (LINX).

Designed to conform to Open-IX standards, it is home to a community of networks, from local access networks, to large global content delivery networks and more recently, cloud access and enterprise networks.

Jennifer Holmes, CCO for LINX added: “We are thrilled to be able to welcome Netskope to LINX NoVA. They have been peering on our London interconnection platform since mid 2019 so we are pleased to see their expansion to our regional Internet exchanges continuing with this latest connection. We look forward to working with them moving forward to expand their interconnection footprint at other LINX locations too!”
