5G Americas names Neville Ray as incoming chairman
5G Americas has named Neville Ray as the chairman of the Board of Governors for 2022.
Ray is the president of technology at T-Mobile USA and has more than 30 years of experience building and operating wireless networks in the US and around the world.
He has also been a member of the 5G Americas Board for more than 11 years and previously served two multi-year terms as chairman.
Ray said: “With three years of global commercial 5G network deployments behind us, the industry looks ahead to even more growth powering new experiences for consumers and transforming industries.
“5G Americas will continue to play a strategic role, addressing key opportunities in technology innovation, spectrum and new use cases for 5G.”
G.Network appoints Simon Kilonback as CFO
G.Network has announced the appointment of Simon Kilonback as its next chief financial officer (CFO).
Kilonback is currently the CFO of TfL and has worked there since 2009, previously holding the role of group treasurer and corporate finance director.
Before TfL, he worked at Lloyds Banking Group, WH Smith and Sony.

BSO reveals two new appointments at leadership level
BSO has appointed Laurence Saunier as chief financial officer (CFO) and Virginia Petrou as global marketing director.
Saunier served as CFO of QuantHouse from 2011 to 2021 and worked as CFO for GL Trade for nine years prior to that.
Petrou, meanwhile, has 12 years of experience in B2B marketing and customer loyalty and joins the firm from Tenemos where she held the role of global head of marketing.

Netskope announces Ilona Simpson as CIO for EMEA region
Netskope has revealed the appointment of Ilona Simpson as CIO for EMEA, based in Germany.
Simpson has held CIO and senior IT leadership roles in companies including Porsche, DHL, Adidas, and Aston Martin.
The company says she has been recruited to support Netskope customers in securing their digital strategies and implementing effective SASE architectures.
Mike Anderson, global chief digital and information officer for Netskope said: “We built our existing environments for a time when people worked in offices, and applications and data were hosted in data centres.
“We want to help companies’ re-architect their environments for the new hybrid way of working and cloud-first world, ultimately allowing their people to be secure and productive while working from anywhere.

Isotropic Systems has appointed Rash Sahota as its new general manager and COO.
The company says Sahota will be responsible for ensuring it delivers its vision and strategy while managing costs and driving revenue.
Sahota has over 30 years of experience in technology and telecoms and has held senior leadership positions at Cirus Logic, Motorola and Ericsson.
