Effective as of 1 February 2022, Wong will serve as both vice president of CITIC Telecom International Holdings Limited (CITIC Telecom), for which CITIC Telecom CPC is a wholly owned subsidiary, as well as CITIC Telecom CPC's CEO.
Wong succeeds Esmond Li who is retiring from the role of CEO of CITIC Telecom CPC after over 20 years of service in the Group.

As vice president of CITIC Telecom, Wong has overseen the company's Chinese operations since 2008. In addition, he has extensive leadership experience working with various telecoms companies.
Specifically, Wong is considered an expert in developing and executing strategies for the Greater China market. According to the company, his ability to see the big picture, from market development to macro strategic perspectives, is an asset CITIC Telecom CPC's customers.
