Specifically, the MainOne Cloud Connect service delivers direct, secure, and reliable network connectivity between enterprise data centres or office locations to public cloud providers such as Microsoft and AWS.
This is further supported by MainOne's partnership with Equinix-Telecity that gives the company direct access to additional global providers such as Oracle and IBM.

In addition, the MainOne Cloud Connect service enables enterprises to easily collaborate while adopting remote work policies.
MainOne Cloud Connect solution is powered by MainOne’s private subsea cable and supports direct connections to cloud services at speeds from 10Mbps to 100Gbps.
“MainOne Cloud Connect service allowed our team have direct access to Microsoft Azure services, which means we don’t have to leverage on the shared internet of the bank which was resulting in high bandwidth usage, unpredictable latency and impact on other services. The latency of the service is guaranteed, and the service performance is predictable,” said one of MainOne's unnamed customers.
In related news, December saw Equinix annouced plans to acquire MainOne for an enterprise value of $320 million. The news, which marks Equinix's entry into Africa, will see Equinix gain a data centre and connectivity presence in Nigeria, Ghana and Côte d'Ivoire, the markets where MainOne operates.
