Under the terms of the collaboration, Vertiv will provide operation and maintenance services for Elea Digital data centres in certain Brazilian metro areas, including Porto Alegre, Curitiba, and Brasilia.
Through this partnership, Vertiv will gain access to a larger and wider market to support the Brazilian data centre industry growth and aligns with Elea Digital and Vertiv goals of maintaining current market growth rates.
"We are excited to start working with Elea Digital on services offerings for edge data centres in Brazil. Our goal is to bring Vertiv and Elea Digital experience to less developed metro-markets, but with high demand," said Rafael Garrido, vice president of Vertiv Latin America.
Elea Digital says that its aim is to accelerate the standardisation of its multi-location data centre platform and, to assure its colocation clients secure services are aligned with global best practices.
As such, the partnership with Vertiv delivers much-needed accountability, automation and real time management of key infrastructure. It will also employ a set of software applications to ensure energy efficiency and cost control of Elea Digital’s six data centres.
"The strategic alliance with Vertiv shows our commitment and enthusiasm with client service as we continue to do our best to ensure that our critical infrastructure is maintained equally secure, miles away from the central cloud region of São Paulo," said Alessandro Lombardi, chairman of Elea Digital.
Together, Elea Digital and Vertiv can deliver knowledge and best practices to underdeveloped but highly demanding metro-areas markets such as Brasilia – home to Elea Digital's SIG Tier III data centre facility), Porto Alegre and Curitiba.
Last month, Piemonte Holding and Goldman Sachs Asset Management's private credit business completed an investment in Elea Digital.
The undisclosed deal is aimed at boosting the growth of Elea Digital and the increase in capital aims to accelerate the standardisation and improve existing infrastructure.
