Nokia has announced the release of its new fibre solution capable of supporting 10/25/50 and future 100G PON services, Lightspan MF-8.

Designed for mid-sized deployments, the MF-8 provides exceptional capacity, six-nine reliability and sub-millisecond latency, the telecoms giant revealed.

As a result, Nokia claims the tool, powered by the Quillion chipset, is ideal for both residential and mission-critical Industry 4.0 services, ensuring no single point of failure.

Meanwhile, its versatile design allows it to be deployed in various locations, including cabinets, central offices and data centres.

The MF-8 expands Nokia’s multi-gig fibre portfolio, which ranges from the smaller MF-2 to the larger MF-14, capable of delivering extensive 25G PON services.
