CBRE Data Centre Solutions has named Isabelle Kemlin as the new business unit director in the Nordics as it looks to capitalise on market growth in the region.

Kemlin brings nearly 20 years of experience spanning key business functions including sales, marketing, business development, organizational development and management to the role.

An internal appointment, Kemlin was previously global alliance director for CBRE’s Ericsson account, looking after IFM delivery in more than 20 countries across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

She joined CBRE from Veolia where she was a key account executive and regional director, looking after around 200 technicians for the French transnational utility company. She also has experience in the mining industry.

“I am fully committed to the challenge of driving rapid growth and at the same time securing our high-quality delivery. We need to consider local adaptation, and at the same time utilize the power of our world leading global knowledge and processes, as well as securing our competences and culture as the highest of CBRE standards,” stated Kemlin.

Her appointment comes at a strategic time for LA-based CBRE, a provider of full-spectrum life cycle services to data centre owners, occupiers, and investors. CBRE Data Centre Solutions manages over 6.97M squared of mission critical space across more than 800 sites.

The combined amount of data centre investment across Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden is likely to tip into the world’s top 10 in terms of capital expenditure with investments in the last 12 to 18 months amounting to as much as $3bn, according to BroadGroup Consulting in March.

For CBRE Data Centre Solutions, the firm expressed its dedication to current and future cloud, hyperscale, and colocation clients interested in operating in the region.

“Isabelle’s appointment as Nordics Business Unit Director solidifies our commitment to growing talented and skilled data centre expert teams in the Nordics, who in turn will support our customers to provide the safest, most secure and resilient data centres in the Nordics. We are excited to welcome Isabelle to our team and we are confident in Isabelle’s ability to use her talents to support our growing team,” said John Dunstan, president, CBRE Data Centre Solutions.
