Global leading network-as-a-service (NaaS) provider Megaport and Linxdatacenter have partnered to offer direct access to leading cloud service providers (CSPs).

Linxdatacenter, which is a provider of high-end colocation, cloud and connectivity solutions in Moscow, St. Petersburg and Warsaw, the first reseller of Megaport in Russia, It will leverage Megaport’s global software-defined network (SDN) to provide this access to Linxdatacenter colocation and cloud clients.

Customers will be able to reach Megaport’s ecosystem of more than 300 service providers via direct connections through the Linxdatacenter channel. CSPs in the ecosystem include: Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, Oracle Cloud, IBM Cloud, Salesforce, and Alibaba Cloud.

More and more businesses use public clouds (CSPs) to benefit from their functionally and economically effective environments. Scalable, direct connectivity to global CSPs therefore becomes essential for business development and this partnership enables direct access to them.

“Demand for cloud services continues to grow at an increased pace in all regions, and Russia is no exception," said Vincent English, chief executive officer of Megaport, who recently told Capacity in an interview that the company is leading the charge in business transformation in the connectivity space.

“To satisfy that demand and make cloud a reality, enterprises need an easy, secure, and scalable way to connect to cloud providers. The Megaport SDN makes this a reality and empowers customers with on-demand connectivity that operates at cloud-speed. We are pleased to partner with Linxdatacenter to extend the reach of cloud services to Russian enterprises and enable their digital transformation journey.”

Thanks to its partnership with Megaport, Linxdatacenter can simplify cloud connectivity for its clients in Moscow and St. Petersburg. Businesses in Russia can scale their cloud architectures based on predictable performance over secure, scalable, on-demand connections.

Direct, private connectivity helps reduce the total cost of ownership and improves performance for multi-cloud and hybrid cloud solutions. Combined with Linxdatacenter’s deployment and support of customer infrastructure and documentation, the Megaport SDN will provide powerful tools to scale the next generation of cloud-based IT architectures.

Under the agreement, Linxdatacenter can be listed in the Megaport Marketplace, a global ecosystem of more than 300 service providers, making secure LinxCloud available to Megaport customers worldwide. Megaport and Linxdatacenter will initially connect in Stockholm.

Heiko H. Koop, chief executive officer of Linxdatacenter, added: “We are partnering with Megaport because connectivity to public clouds will be a key development factor for the Russian economy. Few companies will stay in single-cloud environments. The future is multi-cloud.

"Linxdatacenter has chosen Megaport because it is the leading provider of network-as-a-service and elastic interconnection services. Our partnership will enable us to offer all the advantages of connectivity to global cloud platforms at our sites in Russia and Europe.”
