HCL’s Engineering and R&D Services (ERS) team is using Cloudify’s platform and capabilities for a new solution that enables telecoms companies to create dedicated, reliable software-defined network (SDN) connections.
Network slicing is seen as a key technology in 5G deployments, allowing telcos to offer differentiated services tailored to specific customers and use-cases without the need for additional spectrum. It could also help operators unlock more potential from its existing 4G networks.
Cloudify provides universal edge orchestration to enable service providers and enterprises to automate, manage and virtually transform network and application services from their core location to branches and multi-access edge devices.
