Its services will be used to stop increasingly complex cyberattacks and stop Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks where multiple compromised systems are used to target a single system causing a Denial of Service (DoS) attack.
The new service will mitigate attacks and reduce hours of manual intervention to seconds, protecting more than 16,700 Telxius cell towers and its international high-capacity fibre optic submarine network of 87,000 kilometres.

“Their customers expect service to be protected, but attackers are finding new ways to bypass legacy technology and manual operations.
“Year after year, we see DDoS attacks becoming more complex and dynamic.
“However, with Radware’s support, Telxius can offer its customers one of the most advanced security services on the market.”
Telxius will share its Radware-empowered DDoS Shield services and capabilities with Telefónica companies and other ISPs globally as a security managed service.
Radware’s mitigation solution allows Telxius customers to be secure and less vulnerable to sophisticated new attacks that may affect unprepared legacy defences.
Telefónica recently sold data centres to Asterion Industrial Partners, a pan-European infrastructure fund manager.
