H5 Data Centers, a US collocation and wholesale data centre provider, has announced the network expansion of Wave Business to its Seattle data centre.

Wave Business, a provider of business-class broadband services, represents an important additional carrier now available at the carrier neutral data centre, located at 1000 Denny Way in downtown Seattle.

Josh Simms, CEO for H5, said: "Access to Wave’s network is a big win for H5 Data Centers’ growing customer base and carrier-neutral ecosystem seeking more resilient carrier access.

"Wave’s deep-count fiber network across the nation can provide competitive fiber backhaul solutions to leading enterprises seeking state-of-the-art data center facilities."

H5's Seattle location is served by multiple metro and international carriers that complement the 293,000 square-foot data center, which has the ability to support power densities of more than 15 kW per cabinet.

Wave will support H5's growing customer base of Fortune 500 enterprises, content delivery networks (CDNs) and cloud service providers, that seek to improve their mission critical operations.

“Wave is excited to partner with H5 Data Centers to build diverse fibre routes into 1000 Denny Way,” said Paul Koss, SVP, CarrierWholesale, Wave Business. “The combination of this new downtown Seattle data centre presence and our national fibre footprint offers additional choices for our customers.”

Another recent addition to H5's networks was NewCloud Networks, which expanded its data centre footprint at the 1625 Rockwell facility in downtown Cleveland.

In February, H5 partnered with Archeo Futures to launch an internet exchange in San Antonio, Texas.

The new facility called SAT-IX, will sit at H5 's recently acquired 100 Taylor Street location it acquired last November
