Announced via LinkedIn, Cieplinska said, “'I'm thrilled to announce that I recently joined e-shelter (NTT). I look forward to being part of this innovative team and representing our robust portfolio of data centers. We have facilities in London, Berlin, Frankfurt, Paris, Amsterdam, Vienna, Hamburg and more.”
Prior to joining e-shelter, Cieplinska most recently served as VP of hyperscale sales – APAC & EMEA for Bridge Data Centres. Before that, she worked for CenturyLink holding such roles as account executive, strategic manager for data centre and cloud ecosystem; and regional director for hybrid IT solutions. Earlier on in her career she worked as account manager for Microsoft.
In related news, at the start of July e-shelter completed phase 1 of its Frankfurt 4 data centre. The Frankfurt 4 campus, which is the 12th operational data centre location in the e-shelter portfolio, offers 24,000sqm and 80MW of premium data centre capacity across five facilities to support the growth of cloud and hybrid enterprise-IT in the Frankfurt region and support high density requirements.
Additionally, at the end of June the company announced that Rupprecht Rittweger, the current CEO and chairman of both e-shelter and Gyron, will step down as CEO and continue in his role as Chairman of the NTT European colocation business, as of 1 August. Florian Winkler, who has been with e-shelter since 2012 and is currently chief commercial officer, will take over the role of CEO for the combined European DC business.
