Ukrainian Government to build crypto data centre
Ukraine’s government-owned nuclear power plant has selected a firm to build a data centre in Rivne, Ukraine for cryptocurrency mining operations.
After a bidding process, Energoatom chose Kyiv Energy Construction Company to handle the nuclear plant crypto mining project.
According to official documents, the data centre will be based in the Rivne nuclear power plant, and the construction firm got 8.92 million Hryvnia ($318,237) in funding.
Royal Holloway awards contract to Keysource
Keysource has been awarded a contract extension by Royal Holloway, University of London. Keysource has provided critical infrastructure services for the college for around 10 years.
Under the terms of the two-year contract extension, Keysource will be providing a comprehensive critical facilities management solution, supporting the University’s data centre estate with a four-hour response to the site.

Throughout the past ten years, they have never become complacent and have delivered continuous improvements across our data centre estate. As a result, it was an easy decision to extend our agreement with them.”
Apple's tax in EU
The European Union is looking to overturn Apple’s success in a €13 billion ($15.6 billion) tax dispute.
The EU said judges used “contradictory reasoning” when they found that the company’s Irish units were not liable for large payments.
The appeal was brought on 25 September 2020 by the European Commission against the judgment of the General Court and was delivered on 15 July 2020.

G-Core Labs cloud starts processing transactions of banks
The G-Core Labs cloud has achieved the certification of compliance with the requirements of the PCI DSS 3.2.1 standard in terms of storing, processing and transmitting payment cards data. The compliance was confirmed by annual QSA audit conducted by Compliance Control Ltd.
