Kumar’s previous role was as president and COO for Tata Communications, when he was responsible for developing the company’s presence in the global communications market. After joining the Tata Communications in 2004, Kumar was closely associated with the acquisitions of TGN and Teleglobe and went on to become MD of the company’s international operations. Kumar replaces Srinath Narasimhan who has been appointed as MD and CEO at Tata Teleservices and Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra).
